6 Benefits of Bringing Green Indoors

Did you know that green was once a symbol of wealth: Historically, green has been associated with money and prosperity. This is because it was once difficult to dye fabric green, so only wealthy people could afford clothes in this color. For me the color Green reminds me of nature. I love the multiple shades and tones of green in trees, grass and leaves. Green always seems to revitalize me and transport me to the feeling of being outdoors.

1. Calming and Relaxing

Green is known to have a calming effect on the mind and body. It promotes relaxation and reduces stress levels. It's a refreshing color to look at, as it reminds us of the outdoors.

2. Natural and Soothing

Green is often associated with nature and can create a soothing atmosphere in interiors by brining the outdoors inside. It also represents growth: Plants and trees growing in shades of green, which makes the color also symbolic of growth and progress. This is why green is often associated with new beginnings and fresh starts.

3. Versatile

Green comes in a wide range of shades, from soft pastels, to bright and bold greens to deep forest greens. This means that there's a shade for everyone to love and can easily be incorporated into many interiors.

4. Health Benefits

Studies have shown that exposure to greenery can improve overall health and well-being, including reducing blood pressure and improving mental clarity. Green has a soothing effect on our minds and bodies. Looking at green can reduce stress levels and improve our mood. Many healthy foods are green, such as spinach and kale. This association with health makes green an attractive color for many people.

5. Enhances Creativity

The color green has been linked to enhanced creativity, making it a great choice for workspaces or creative areas of the home.

6. Timeless

Green can be a timeless color that never goes out of style, making it a great choice for long-term design solutions. It complements other colors: Green looks great when paired with many other colors, such as blues and wood tones.
